Phyllis’ Musical Inn

Wicker Park, Bucktown & Ukrainian Village

One of Chicago's all-time great dives, this former Polish polka bar features live performances nightly – often scrappy up-and-coming bands, sometimes a poetry slam or comedy. It’s hit-and-miss for quality, but you’ve got to applaud them for taking a chance. Don’t like the sound? Slip outside to the bar’s basketball court for relief. The brewskis are cheap, to boot.
