Silver City Mountain Resort

Sequoia National Park

The only food-and-lodging option anywhere near these parts, this rustic, old-fashioned place rents everything from cute and cozy 1950s-era cabins to modern chalets sleeping up to eight. Bring your own sheets and towels for some of the cabins (or rent linens for $45 per cabin). It’s 3.5 miles west of the ranger station. Minimum two-night booking may be required.

There’s a ping-pong table, an outdoor playground and a small pond. Some cabins don’t have electricity and the property’s generator usually shuts off in the evenings.
