Arigato Sushi

Top choice in Santa Barbara

Phenomenally popular Arigato Sushi always has people milling around waiting for a table (no reservations taken) but it's worth the wait. Traditional and more unusual sushi, including lots of vegetarian options, plus salads and a dizzying array of hot and cold starters will make you order a sake pronto just to help you get through the menu.

It's noisy and bustling so not the place for a romantic dinner, unless you nab a table on the small patio on State St. Diners at the bar get to see the chefs in action right in front of them.
