Yosemite View Lodge

Yosemite & the Sierra Nevada

Two miles from the park entrance, this big, modern complex has hot tubs, an on-site restaurant and swimming pools. Decor is dated, but the 338 rooms feature kitchenettes, and some have gas fireplaces and Merced River or mountain views. Ground-floor rooms have big patios. No cell reception; wi-fi is patchy ($10 per day).

A laundry, large gift/supplies shop and ATM are also on site.

At the time of research another 200 rooms were in construction. By 2020 the hotel will have some 500 rooms.
