Bureau of Land Management Campgrounds

Yosemite & the Sierra Nevada

Some 20 miles outside the park, where the Merced River meets Hwy 140, Briceburg has a visitor center and three primitive Bureau of Land Management campgrounds with to-die-for campsites right on the river. To reach them, you cross a beautiful 1920s wooden suspension bridge; long trailers and large RVs are not recommended. Ask at the visitor center for directions.
