Grammy-nominated jazz singer and educator Barbara Morrison has sung with the likes of Ray Charles and Dizzy Gillespie and at jazz festivals worldwide, but her passion is teaching and programming performances here in Leimert Park. Jazz and blues concerts happen weekly.
During April, for International Jazz Day, there are performances almost every day.
The center teaches music to more than 300 underprivileged children a week.
