Café Maddalena

Top choice in Mt Shasta Region

Simple and elegant, this cafe put Dunsmuir on the foodie map. The menu was designed by chef Brett LaMott (of Trinity Cafe fame) and changes seasonally to feature dishes from southern Europe and northern Africa. Some highlights include sautéed quail with amontillado sherry sauce or braised, spiced shoulder of lamb over rice, chickpeas and roasted carrots.

The wine bar is stocked with rare Mediterranean labels, including a great selection of Spanish varietals.
