Rock Springs Café

Arizona

A pit stop for pie? You betcha. Especially if it's a slice of fresh pie ($6) at Rock Springs Café in Black Canyon City. Only problem? This Old West diner, just off I-17 at exit 242, will drive you crazy with choices – apple crumble, blueberry, rhubarb, chocolate – all sitting pretty in a cooler in the dining room.

Heartier grub includes burgers, steaks and pan-fried catfish. The attached farmers market sells produce, hot sauce, beef jerky and cactus arrangements. On the first Saturday of the month, roll in for Hogs N Heat when the barbecue smokers fire up on the patio. This party draws Harley riders and, well, everybody within sniffin' distance.
