Opened in 2018, this 75-storey hotel looms like a golden beacon, and at 356m high, claims to be the world's tallest hotel (this is Dubai, after all!). Nonguests can visit the rooftop viewing deck for Dhs100, which is well worth it (and includes a coffee and pastry). The rooms are glossed up corporate-style with plush contemporary furnishings.
There are four health clubs and the highest rooftop swimming pool in the world (apparently stealing the title from Singapore’s Marina Bay), plus five restaurants. Of note to some, perhaps: these dizzy statistics do not include the world's most potent cocktail: Gevora has no licensed bar.
