With an exterior seemingly inspired by Dubai's Burj Al Arab, Ýyldyz is popular with travellers looking for luxury. It's not terribly convenient for the city centre, meaning you'll have to catch taxis to get anywhere, but amenities are excellent, including three restaurants, sauna, gym and spa. The 19th-floor bar is a popular spot for sundowners with panoramic views across Ashgabat.
