This charming, central hotel has an enticingly atmospheric foyer that's tastefully packed with orientalist artefacts and a dangling amphora. If possible, choose the large rooms on the upper floors, some with glimpses of the sea from sweet little alcove windows (503 is ideal). On the lower floors, rooms are rather more cramped but still attractive, with the hotel's signature timber finish.
