Cobbled out of a couple of 19th-century village houses, this sympathetically-restored property is an old-town delight. With six rooms retaining their original fireplaces, wooden ceilings and floors, the Courtyard has lashings of Ottoman character and shares a garden with the White House Pension. Halıl and Marion are delightful hosts.
Check out room 1 with its 'cave bathroom' converted from a 400-year-old water cistern.
