Dönerciler Çarşısı

Antalya

Its street sign says 'Inönü Caddesi' and the canopy of umbrellas has given it the nickname 'Şemsiye Sokak' (Umbrella St). Locals, however, refer to this pedestrianised lane as the Dönerciler Çarşısı. The entire street is devoted to kebap shops churning out grilled-meat dishes.

You can pick up balık (fish) or döner (spit-roasted lamb slices) sandwiches plus pide (Turkish-style pizza), lahmacun (Arabic-style pizza) and güveç (stew), as well as all the classic kebaps.
