İskele Sofrası

Top choice in Alanya

Three generations of the friendly Öz family run this restaurant, uphill from the harbour. There are never less than 10 mezes on at once – perhaps girit ezmesi, an unforgettable mash-up of feta-like cheese, walnuts and olive oil. All the usual grills and loads of seafood headline the menu, but special lamb hotpots (kuzu güveçt) can be cooked with a day's notice.

The terrace, with harbour views, is a delight, and perfect with a cold beer.
