Akdamar Restaurant & Camping

Southeastern Anatolia

This restaurant and campground is directly opposite the ferry departure point for Akdamar Island. The restaurant has a terrace with lake views and specialises in kiremet tava (meat, tomato and peppers cooked in a clay pot) and fried lake fish. It's licensed so grab a beer while you're waiting for a boat to Akdamar to fill up.

If you've got a tent you can camp for free here (you'll be expected to eat in the restaurant). Camper vans can park here and hook up to the electricity for ₺10 per night.
