Kafe Ara

Beyoğlu

Occupying a converted garage in a lane opposite the Galatasaray Lycée, this cafe is named after legendary photographer Ara Güler, whose photographs of old İstanbul adorn the walls. It serves an array of breakfast dishes, salads, sandwiches and Turkish comfort food. Enjoying a weekend breakfast (9.30am to 11.30am weekdays, 10am-1pm weekends) at one of the laneway tables is particularly pleasant. No alcohol.
