Nesibe Sultan

Kayseri

Rubbing up against the castle fortifications on one side and the domes of the 13th-century Sultan Hamamı on the other, this cafe with retractable roof is an atmospheric hangout. The food focuses on Kayseri's specialities including tepsi mantısı (tray-grilled Turkish ravioli) and yağlama (mincemeat-layered flatbreads), and although none of it is blow-your-socks-off amazing, it's all decent.

There is an excellent nargile (water pipe; ₺30 to ₺45) selection here.
