Cafe Şafak

Göreme

Fatma and son Ali serve good-value Turkish favourites of gözleme (stuffed flatbreads), menemen (scrambled eggs with peppers, tomatoes and sometimes cheese) and simple grilled meat plates at this cafe, smack in the middle of town. Ali trained as a barista in coffee-hipster Melbourne so this is one of Göreme's top spots for espresso and flat whites too.
