Guests here have been known not to leave the premises at all during their city stay. Frankly, we're not at all surprised. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed, but it's the hotel's gorgeous garden and impressive facilities that are the real attraction. These include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis court, spa, gym and rooftop bar with panoramic bay views.
The garden is filled with important works of art including pieces by Antony Gormley and Fernando Botero, and eating and drinking options include the rooftop Equinox Restaurant and the Aquarium Restaurant in the garden. The breakfast buffet (€10) served in Cafe Swiss on the ground floor is both lavish and delicious.
