Oholei Beach & Hina Cave Feast & Show

Tongatapu

The pinnacle of Tongatapu entertainment is this fab feast and show at Oholei Beach Resort in the island's southeast. The evening starts with a welcome on sandy Oholei Beach, followed by a hefty Tongan feast, including suckling pig roasted on a spit. The highlight is an enthusiastic traditional dance performance in the open-topped Hina Cave, culminating in an eye-popping fire dance.

There's a free shuttle to the show from Nuku'alofa. If you want to stay the night, bunk down in a fale at the resort (see the website).
