Named after the baskets that local farmers used to winnow rice (and festooned in them), Khu Khao serves a regional cuisine with influences spanning the entire Lanna kingdom. Fresh ingredients are largely sourced from local farms, and creative signature dishes include a Yunnanese rice curd salad with fiery grilled chicken and Shan-style pork meatballs with noodles in peanut sauce.
The restaurant is part of the Raya Heritage hotel, and also does a popular weekend buffet brunch highlighting the rice-based culture of northern Thailand.
