Hearty plates of Thai favourites from a tangy, lemony pad thai to coconut curries. Sara Thai has a rowdy, studenty vibe at night, but the service and food are top-notch. The bright orange walls and purple-uniformed staff lend it a cheery atmosphere that almost makes the food taste better. There are two floors linked by a precarious corkscrew-spiral stairwell.
There's always a queue outside at dinnertime, but if you can't wait this section of Tingzhou Rd has half-a-dozen other pretty-decent Thai restaurants.
