A marvellous Mediterranean kitchen with a massive menu that's heavy on the cheese. Tapas, hummus, big eggy breakfasts, pasta, grilled fish, salads and paninis. Try the apple Brie with honey-mustard toasted pocket. Also doubles as a pub, with Hoegaarden on tap and a cupboard full of cocktails.
There's now a second Toasteria in Dongmen (next to Dongmen MRT Exit 5) but this Dunhua branch, tucked down a lane, is much cosier.
Toasteria has hit that happy balance between excellent and authentic western food, and pleasing the Taiwanese taste buds. This place is always rocking with locals.
