Though the market has been reduced in scale because of noise complaints from local residents, it's still a lively place for a cheap feed of traditional snacks washed down by fruit juices and teas. There are also tons of inexpensive boutiques to browse, as well as little restaurants and cafes to hang out in. A nice young studenty vibe.
The market extends into several lanes; the easiest way to get there is to head down Lane 39, Shida Rd and follow the crowds.
