Bora Bora Ecolodge

Bora Bora

The name is misleading: there’s nothing vaguely ‘eco’ or ‘lodge’ in this modest pension featuring six self-contained bungalows in Anau village. You won't be extolling to friends the bungalows or the location (the lagoon is muddy, there’s no beach and it’s isolated), but it’s an acceptable port of call provided you keep your expectations in check.

Perks include free transfers from the Vaitape quay and free kayaks. If you don't rent a vehicle, the owners will happily drive you to Matira Beach, about 3km away. Dinners (3500 CFP) are available on request.
