Perched right at the top of Säntis, this charming, down-to-earth, family-run hut has a terrace commanding fabulous mountain views. Choose between basic dorm beds and cosy pine-clad doubles, the cheaper of which have shared bathrooms. The restaurant (mains Sfr22 to Sfr40) keeps it hearty with dishes like Gerstensuppe (barley soup) or bratwurst with onion sauce and rösti.
