Elite Plaza Hotel

Gothenburg

With stucco ceilings and lovely mosaic floors, the Elite Plaza is a grand, old-world establishment with all the modern trimmings. Most rooms are spacious and breakfast is ample (though chaotic when the hotel is full). The proximity to some of the city's best restaurants and bars is a boon, but the latter is also a bane if you're a light sleeper.
