Bay Guesthouse

St Lucia

Within easy walking distance of Gros Islet, this simple waterfront guesthouse is excellent value. While the former owners have left the island, meaning the ambience has lost some gloss, it's still a fantastic base from which to explore the area. Rooms range from compact to spacious; some offer kitchens and stunning views. The grounds have hammocks.

There's no sign – look for the pale blue building on the waterside.
