Cuatro Monos

Valencia

A cosy Italian-run bar with a welcoming vibe, Cuatro Monos attracts regulars and travellers alike. The bar mixes monkey-inspired art and soft toys with sofas, high bar tables and pavement seating. The friendly staff can recommend a custom cocktail (Purple Monkey, anyone?) or pour a refreshing on-tap international beer or local IPA, a welcome variety in lager-dominant Spain.

Small plates and sandwiches are available and you'd do well to find a better porchetta (roast pork) sandwich outside Italy. Football is shown on two screens and the atmosphere goes up a notch when Italian clubs or the national team are playing.
