Chic contemporary design meets 19th-century architecture at this exquisitely revamped 1811 mansion, now a luxurious 16-room boutique bolthole strung around a central courtyard, with a cafe, a Modernista salon and chandeliers sparkling above. Cosy, fresh rooms are styled in creams, whites and pastels, sporting original tilework, in-room baths and log fires. A subterranean spa was nearing completion when we visited.
The team also runs the beautifully converted, six-room 1700 mansion Casa Albertí, near Maó's port.
