On the main road through El Mocanal, the island’s original boutique-inspired hotel makes a comfortable base with earthy-toned decor, wooden furniture, stone exteriors, lovely coast-and-countryside views and (a rarity on El Hierro) a permanently staffed reception, though overall it's looking fairly tired. Some rooms have terraces and there's a house restaurant opposite.
