Sorori Wolhyang

Top choice in Seoul

Specialising in artisanal makgeolli (milky rice wine) from around Korea, and other local liquors, this cosy basement bar is a great place to sample traditional alcoholic drinks. Various fruity and nutty flavours of makgeolli are complemented with decent food, such as pajeon (scallion pancakes).

Tricky to find, it's at the end of a laneway with a temple-like building on the corner. Look for a crescent moon on signs.
