Lotte Hotel Seoul

Myeong-dong & Jung-gu

The natural extension to its Myeong-dong shopping empire, this twin-towered hotel with over 1000 rooms has a marble-lined lobby long enough for Usain Bolt training runs. The new wing’s standard rooms are bigger than those in the old but don’t have as modern a design; some come with City Hall views. There’s also a ladies-only floor with a book-lined lounge.

Renowned French chef Pierre Gagnaire’s restaurant is on the 35th floor.
