Chuncheon
Hidden away uphill and down an alley, this secluded guesthouse and cafe is very tranquil, but only has two rooms, each small but cute. There's a garden full of cats, a kitchen and a lovely cafe stuffed with books. The friendly owner Jati speaks good English and Chinese. It's in the direction of Kangwon National University.
Rooms come with heater. Jati has another guesthouse in town, so enquire about that if this one is full.
