You're nowhere near the beaches but you're a two-minute walk to the Stanley St restaurants. The Hippo has an inviting backyard pool, a bar and pool table, two attractive lounges, two kitchens, nicely furnished rooms and rather cramped dorms. Overall, it's simple, straightforward and well priced.
