Ellis Park – Emirates Airline Park

Johannesburg

The spiritual home of Jo’burg rugby, just east of the city centre, was the scene of one of the new nation’s proudest moments – victory in the 1995 World Cup. Local supporters are fanatical: a Saturday afternoon at the rugby can be an almost religious experience.

Renamed Emirates Airline Park in January 2015, it's still widely known as Ellis Park.
