The charming restaurant here really sets Britstown apart from other Karoo dorps (villages). Chequered tablecloths in the leafy courtyard give a provincial French feel, yet the food is Northern Cape through and through – try the superlative dinner buffet (R195), with Karoo lamb cooked every possible way.
The quaintly furnished rooms (room with shared bathroom per person R270, single/double from R750/850) are fine for a stopover and there's a pleasant pool in the gardens.
