The Historic Pig & Whistle Inn

Sunshine Coast

The charmingly old-world hotel, dating from 1832, offers excellent rooms, some with free-standing bath, honey-coloured parquet flooring and period furniture. The cheaper rooms (with shared bathroom) are brilliant value. The on-site restaurant (mains R70 to R130) does homemade burgers, steaks, pies and a Sunday roast, and the adjoining pub is a great place to meet locals. On-street parking only.
