Hotel Jama

Top choice in Southwestern Slovenia

This huge, concrete, socialist-era hotel is part of the Postojna Cave complex and has undergone a stunning renovation, reopening in 2016 with slick, contemporary rooms with striking colour schemes and lovely glass-walled bathrooms. It's worth paying extra (anywhere between €10 and €30) for a room with a view. There's also a restaurant and a bar, and the excellent buffet breakfast costs €12.
