Hotel Cerkno

The Julian Alps

The decor at this large hotel is tired but facilities are decent and service is excellent. Standard rooms are quite pricey for what you get – better value are the budget 'hostel' rooms (which still have private bathrooms, TV and wi-fi). There's an indoor pool and free bike use for guests, plus a restaurant and a cafe.
