Incongruous as it sounds, the patriotic Slovak guesthouse above this Argentine steakhouse is one of Košice's most compelling places to overnight. Framing an inner courtyard, rooms feel effortless (bare brick walls, brightly coloured trimmings) but they're exceptionally well designed and each is named after a Slovak city. Hot breakfasts are cooked to order. Our only gripe? The expensive parking (€10).
