Hotel Club

Eastern Slovakia

This efficient hotel pulls a business-travel crowd, but doesn't lack character. Russet- and pine-decorated rooms overlook the old town, while the breakfast (€4.50) area has an outdoor terrace where you can sip coffee while gazing at wooden cartwheels and beds of geraniums.

There is street parking nearby, but ask ahead if you want one of the limited garage spaces (€5).

Though it's popular and cheap, we aren't so keen on the adjoining restaurant.
