Rumah Bebe

Top choice in Singapore

Bebe Seet is the owner of this 1928 shophouse and purveyor of all things Peranakan. She sells traditional kebayas (Nonya-style blouses with decorative lace) with contemporary twists and beautifully beaded shoes. If you've got time and the inclination, you can take one of the beading classes run by Bebe, including a two-session beginners' course (S$450).

Tours of the shophouse are also available; check the website for details
