Right on Boat Quay, the whitewashed dorms come in one-, two-, three- and four-bed configurations, and though rooms are small (superior rooms have windows), they're modern and comfortable, with wooden bunks and handy bedside power sockets and lights. Bathrooms are modern, reception operates round-the-clock, the walls are adorned with art and the chic breakfast lounge comes with an amazing river view.
There's a tiny communal kitchen, though Chinatown's cheap eats are an MRT stop away.
