Impressive Denis Private Island is essentially Swiss Family Robinson meets stylish travel magazine. The 25 villas are just steps from the dazzling white beach. They have a gorgeous feel, with lots of wood, quality furnishings and elegant showers – not to mention the outdoor bathroom. Diving and fishing are catered for amply, and the entire place feels eerily empty even at full capacity.
Food is organic and prepared from produce and livestock that has been nurtured on the island farm. The international clientele is mainly made up of couples, but families are also welcome (children free; 12 to 17 years €195). All guests get around by bicycle or on foot, and refreshingly there are no TVs or in-room wi-fi. You also won't find a pool, but who needs one when there's such an unbelievable beach on your doorstep?
