Aurora Hostel

Set within a 19th-century former Turkish consulate, Aurora offers charm and comfort by the ladle-load. Though the building has been renovated, its wood-heavy interiors and hospitable host are redolent of a more gentle era. Rooms are spick and span – all with private bathrooms – and there's a good communal kitchen, and a lovely garden area for socialising.
