Just off the bustle of Great Western Rd, a minute's walk from the subway but on a quiet street by the riverside pathway, this B&B has compact bright rooms, all distinct, with a cheerful, breezy feel. There's a variety of types, including several singles. It offers excellent value and a genuine welcome. A good continental breakfast is included.
A few doors down the street, the same owners have two apartments (£120 to £140). These are excellent, with smart kitchens, cute rooms for kids, and a comfortable lounge and a master bedroom. They make great options for families. There's a three-night minimum stay.
