McLay's Guesthouse

Glasgow

The string of cheapish, down-at-heel guesthouses along western Renfrew St offer no luxury but a tempting location right by the Sauchiehall nightlife and the Glasgow School of Art. This labyrinth is among the better ones; with decent warm rooms – ask for a modernised one – and often-cheap prices. There are some decent family options and a likeable down-to-earth welcome.
