Hotel Praia

São Tomé

Though clean and well kept, this resort lacks personality, aggravated by low occupancy, which leaves rooms musty, and its sheer size, which makes it feel empty. The rooms are split between a central building and motel-like outbuildings with an industrial feel, although the central dining room is attractive. Across the street, a huge pier with conference rooms remains closed.

Swimmers can choose between the huge pool and a small beach across the street. At this price consider paying up for neighboring Omali Lodge.
