The well-established Muhabura is in Musanze's centre and was once the town’s leading hotel, and although it has been superseded by a whole slew of rather more comfortable midrange options, it retains a pleasant old-fashioned feel. There's also an excellent campground, with grassy, shady pitches separated by hedges. The attached restaurant (RFr3000 to RFr5000) serves steaks, brochettes, pasta and salads.
Avoid the Dian Fossey room (where Dian Fossey actually stayed when she was in town) – at US$150, it's a rip-off.
